“April Showers bring May flowers” or so the saying goes…  With Spring officially here, and the change of weather that accompanies this time of year, it’s time to tackle wet weather wear.

Dressing for the rain can be a challenge.  It’s hard to channel your greatest looks while trying to stay warm and dry.  When the weather turns wet, I embrace it with go to staples – jeans, cashmere sweaters, rain gear and boots.

When you have the freedom to dress casually, a comfy cashmere sweater and jeans are the way to go.  With the sweater, it’s fun to add a pop of color like the long-sleeve crewneck cashmere sweater from the Neiman Marcus Cashmere Collection in Azure Blue (pictured below).

Neiman Marcus Cashmere Sweater:  Originally $250.  On sale for $125! Shop here.

Eric Javits Kaya Hat: This hat is perfect for a rainy day. It’s water repellant and easy to fold.  I put in my purse so I have it on hand for quick access.

Michael Kors Cape Trench Coat:  I love the Trench Cape! It’s so unexpected – relative to the traditional Tench Coat.

Seven Jeans:   I love Seven Jeans.  These ankle jeans are super comfortable in stretch-denim with fading and whiskering.

Hunter Boots:  Who can resist a pair of high gloss hunter boots when splashing through puddles in the rain?  It’s the perfect pop of color!

Black Umbrella:  A rainy day staple… Need I say more?

What are your rainy day “must haves?”
